Marble comes from many quarries across the globe and has an infinite number of hues, shades, patterns and textures. Marble requires more maintenance than granite and quartz because it is more porous. However, its beauty is in its appearance, and marble’s natural colour distinctions, notably the veining, give it worldwide popularity.

If your kitchen is busy and you’re not careful where you put down hot pans, then marble is not the surface we would recommend.  But if your kitchen is mainly for show, then with a bit of effort and care, it could well be the coolest surface in town.
